Where is my order?
Call or Email WA Blinds any time with your order number for an update on the progress of your order.
What is ‘outside mounted’?
Outside mounting describes a way of installing your window coverings. It means mounting the blind on the face of your wall overlapping the window. A blind ordered for outside mounting will be supplied according to the measurements you have given us. We will not deduct anything from your measurements. Blinds supplied with a pelmet will be supplied with mitred ends and pelmet returns to create a complete box pelmet.
What is ‘inside mounted’?
Inside mounting describes a way of installing your window coverings. It means mounting the blind within the window recess. A blind ordered for inside mounting will be supplied with a width deduction to allow for the blind to fit within the window recess. Blinds supplied with a pelmet will be supplied at the exact size specified with flat cut ends.
Why are your prices so Low?
We have a large volume turnover and we do most of the adjustments required in our factory. This means we save on manufacturing costs and we pass the saving onto our customer by offering cheaper blinds.
How long will my delivery take?
Deliveries generally take from 2 to 5 working days depending on your specific location and the size of the consignment.
How long will it take to make my blinds?
Readymade blinds will generally take 10 working days from the time of ordering and this includes any time needed for adjustments. Custom made blinds generally take from 15-20 working days although this can be longer at busy times, such as during the Christmas period.
Can I collect my blinds?
Yes, if you wish to collect your blinds instead of having them delivered you are welcome to come to our factory. Please call us if you would like to arrange this.
Who will deliver my blinds?
WA Blinds uses different carriers for different areas depending on the size of the delivery. Australia Post and TNT road express are our preferred carriers and we use them for 90% of our deliveries. We also use other carriers for remote locations or for exceptionally large orders. In the Perth metro area, deliveries may even be made by staff from WA Blinds.
Can you call me before delivery?
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the couriers will call you prior to delivery.
The size on the Box is different to the size I ordered, what has happened?
We try to reuse the original box that your blind was supplied in, even after we have adjusted it to the size you require. So even though the box may say 1500mm, the blind inside will actually measure your size.
What happens if I′m not home when my delivery arrives?
Our carriers will leave a calling card which will include the consignment note number and a contact number or instructions on how to collect your package.
What is a readymade blind?
A readymade blind is a complete blind that is made overseas and shipped to Australia ready to be installed. In most cases these blinds are made so that we can adjust the width and drop to suit your specific sizes.
What is a custom made blind?
A custom made blind is a blind manufactured right here in Australia. The individual components are ordered in and the blind is constructed to the exact size you require. Making a blind this way allows us to have options at every stage of manufacturing and means you can select more colours and options than a readymade blind.
Are your blinds child-safe?
All of our products are supplied with child safety tensioning and cord safety devices which must be installed on all blinds. Your blind only meets with child safety requirements when these devices are installed and used. Cords and chains should be placed out of the reach of children and should be positioned away from a child’s bed or cot.
Where do you deliver?
WA Blinds delivers Australia wide in cities and in remote locations. We have even sent blinds to Christmas Island!
What payment methods do you accept?
WA Blinds accepts payment from either VISA or MasterCard. Limiting our payment options keeps our costs lower and results in cheaper prices.
Can you measure my windows for me?
We are only able to offer a free measuring service in the Perth metro area but we are always happy to discuss measuring over the phone.
Can you install my blinds for me?
We do offer an installation service in the Perth metro area for a flat fee of $30 per blind, regardless of the size of the blind or the number of blinds being fitted. Outside of the Perth metro area we are unable to offer this service.
