WHAT IS ‘OUTSIDE MOUNTED’?
Outside mounting describes a way of installing your window coverings. It means mounting the blind on the face of your wall overlapping the window. A blind ordered for outside mounting will be supplied according to the measurements you have given us. We will not deduct anything from your measurements. Blinds supplied with a pelmet will be supplied with mitred ends and pelmet returns to create a complete box pelmet.
WHAT IS ‘INSIDE MOUNTED’?
Inside mounting describes a way of installing your window coverings. It means mounting the blind within the window recess. A blind ordered for inside mounting will be supplied with a width deduction to allow for the blind to fit within the window recess. Blinds supplied with a pelmet will be supplied at the exact size specified with flat cut ends.
WHY ARE YOUR PRICES SO LOW?
We have a large volume turnover which helps keep the pricing low. We have been selling online for over 12 years and have refined the processes to be able to manufacture and deliver at the lowest cost possible.
HOW LONG WILL MY DELIVERY TAKE?
Deliveries generally take from 2 to 5 working days depending on your specific location and the size of the consignment.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO MAKE MY BLINDS?
Blinds generally take between 8-14 working days from ordering. Curtains are 20-25 working days and Shutters are 9-10 weeks from ordering. Although this can be longer at busy times, such as during the Christmas period.
CAN I COLLECT MY ORDER?
Yes, if you wish to collect your order instead of having them delivered you are welcome to come to our factory. Please call OR email us if you would like to arrange this once you have placed your order.
WHO WILL DELIVER MY ORDER?
WA Blinds uses different carriers for different areas depending on the size of the delivery. Australia Post, Star Track, Toll, Fastway and TNT road express are our preferred carriers and we use them for 95% of our deliveries. We also use other carriers for remote locations or for exceptionally large orders. In the Perth metro area most deliveries are made by staff from WA Blinds.
CAN YOU CALL ME BEFORE DELIVERY?
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the couriers will call you prior to delivery.
THE SIZE ON THE BOX IS DIFFERENT TO THE SIZE I ORDERED, WHAT HAS HAPPENED?
We try to reuse as much packaging as we can, not only is this environmentally friendly it also helps us keep the prices lower. Boxes that we receive from our suppliers may be re-purposed to make sure your blinds arrive safely.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I′M NOT HOME WHEN MY DELIVERY ARRIVES?
Once your order is dispatched you will receive a tracking number and link to follow your delivery. Ideally use this to make sure somebody will be home at the time of delivery, alternatly contact the carrier directly to arrange a suitable day or to add an authority to leave without signature.
DO YOU HAVE A SHOWROOM?
To keep our costs low we have done away with the bricks and mortar showroom. You can arrange to view some products at our Wangara factory, this can only be done via appointment so give us a call or email to arrange a time.
WHAT IS CUSTOM MADE?
Custom made simply means your product is manufactured to your custom specifications. The individual components are ordered in and the propduct is constructed to the exact size you require. Making a blind this way allows us to have options at every stage of manufacturing and means you can order at any size.
ARE YOUR BLINDS CHILD-SAFE?
All of our products are supplied with child safety tensioning and cord safety devices which must be installed on all blinds. Your blind only meets with child safety requirements when these devices are installed and used. Cords and chains should be placed out of the reach of children and should be positioned away from a child’s bed or cot.
WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?
WA Blinds delivers Australia wide in cities and in remote locations. We have even sent blinds to Christmas Island!
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
WA Blinds accepts payment from either VISA or MasterCard. Limiting our payment options keeps our costs lower and results in cheaper prices.
CAN YOU MEASURE MY WINDOWS FOR ME?
We are only able to offer a free measuring service in the Perth metro area but we are always happy to discuss measuring over the phone.
CAN YOU INSTALL MY BLINDS FOR ME?
We do offer an installation service in the Perth metro area for a small fee per blind, Outside of the Perth metro area we are unfortunately unable to offer this service. Blinds are charged at $30per blind with a minimum charge of $60. Shutters and curtains are charged at a per job rate, please contact us for a quote for the installation of these products.
